Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150g
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded) - 100g
  • Parmesan cheese (grated) - 30g
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100g (preferably low-carb)
  • Salami (sliced) - 50g
  • Black olives (sliced) - 30g
  • Bell pepper (sliced) - 50g
  • Fresh basil leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine almond flour, shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, baking powder, oregano, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg and olive oil together, then add to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Place the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and roll it out into a 1cm thick pizza base.
  5. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and shape it into a circle or rectangle.
  6. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the tomato sauce evenly over the base.
  8. Top with sliced salami, black olives, and bell pepper.
  9. Sprinkle additional mozzarella on top and return to the oven for another 5-7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, slice, and serve.
