Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°C (482°F), preferably with a pizza stone inside.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and cook the sausage until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Break it apart into smaller pieces with a spatula.
  3. Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and sauté for an additional 3-4 minutes until they are tender and any moisture has evaporated. Season with salt and pepper to taste, then remove from heat.
  4. Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, approximately 10-12 inches in diameter.
  5. Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a pizza peel or baking tray lined with parchment paper.
