Ingredients

  • Almond flour - 150g
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Mozzarella cheese, shredded - 150g
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 30g
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salami, sliced - 100g
  • Tomato sauce (low-carb) - 100g
  • Fresh basil leaves - a handful

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the almond flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Add the egg and olive oil to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Stir in 100g of shredded mozzarella and all of the grated Parmesan cheese until well combined.
  5. Place the dough on a parchment-lined baking sheet, pressing it into a round pizza shape, about 1/2 cm thick.
  6. Bake the crust in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Remove the crust from the oven and spread the low-carb tomato sauce evenly over the top.
  8. Layer the sliced salami over the sauce, followed by the remaining mozzarella cheese.
  9. Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  10. Once done, remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
