Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 250 grams
  • Warm water - 150 ml
  • Active dry yeast - 5 grams
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Tomato sauce - 100 grams
  • Vegan pepperoni - 100 grams
  • Vegan mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil leaves - a handful

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, dissolve the active dry yeast in warm water and let it sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 20 minutes, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  6. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a pizza shape on a floured surface.
  7. Transfer the rolled dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone, and spread the tomato sauce evenly over the base.
  8. Evenly distribute the vegan pepperoni slices on top of the sauce, followed by the vegan mozzarella cheese.
  9. Sprinkle with dried oregano and add fresh basil leaves on top.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
  11. Remove from the oven, let cool for a minute, slice, and serve hot.
