  • Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams, halved
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Fresh basil - 5 leaves, torn
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Balsamic glaze - for drizzling

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone lined with parchment paper.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, then brush this mixture over the pizza dough.
  5. Evenly distribute the chopped spinach and halved cherry tomatoes over the dough.
  6. Sprinkle the crumbled Gorgonzola cheese over the vegetables.
  7. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  8. Drizzle the remaining tablespoon of olive oil over the toppings.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool for a minute before garnishing with torn fresh basil and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
