- Vegan mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
- Tomato sauce - 100 grams
- Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh basil leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
- In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sprinkle with salt and black pepper. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the onions are caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Once the onions are caramelized, stir in the balsamic vinegar and fresh rosemary. Remove from heat and set aside.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness, about 10 inches in diameter.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough onto a piece of parchment paper. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the surface of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Evenly distribute the caramelized onions over the tomato sauce, then sprinkle the vegan mozzarella cheese on top.
- Carefully transfer the pizza (with the parchment paper) onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the cheese is melted.
