Ingredients

  • Whole wheat pizza dough - 200 grams
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese - 125 grams
  • Ripe tomatoes - 2 medium (about 300 grams)
  • Fresh basil leaves - 15 grams
  • Extra virgin olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
  2. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 10-inch round shape.
  3. Transfer the rolled dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Slice the fresh mozzarella cheese into thin rounds and set aside.
  5. Wash and slice the ripe tomatoes into thin rounds.
  6. Evenly distribute the tomato slices over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  7. Place the mozzarella slices on top of the tomatoes.
  8. Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the pizza and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  9. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  10. Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute.
