- Chicken breast - 250 grams, minced
- Basil pesto - 4 tablespoons
- Garlic - 1 clove, minced
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2, toasted
- Ripe tomato - 1, sliced
- Fresh mozzarella - 100 grams, sliced
- Fresh basil leaves - a handful
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the minced chicken, 2 tablespoons of basil pesto, minced garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until fully incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked through and golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly.
- Once the patties are done, place each one on a toasted bun. Top with a slice of fresh mozzarella, a slice of tomato, and a few fresh basil leaves.
