- Zucchini - 200 grams, sliced

- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated

- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh basil - a handful, chopped
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the whole wheat pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually around 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the sliced zucchini to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the zucchini is tender and slightly golden.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the zucchini.
- Toss the pasta and zucchini together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time to create a light sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Remove from heat and stir in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped basil, mixing well to combine.
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan and basil if desired.
