- Fresh clams - 300 grams, cleaned

- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add the cleaned clams to the skillet and cover with a lid. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, until the clams open up.
- Once the clams are open, remove the lid and add the lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Drain the spaghetti, reserving a bit of the pasta water, and add it to the skillet with the clams. Toss everything together, adding a splash of reserved pasta water if needed to create a light sauce.
- Finish with chopped parsley and adjust seasoning to taste. Serve immediately.
