  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 medium, chopped
  • Canned diced tomatoes - 400g
  • Vegetable broth - 100ml
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Cook the pasta according to package instructions in salted boiling water until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

  4. Pour in the canned diced tomatoes and vegetable broth, then stir in the dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Let the mixture simmer for about 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
  5. Once the sauce thickens, add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well combined and heated through.
  6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh basil leaves.
