  • Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
  • Onion, chopped - 1 medium
  • Canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
  • Vegetable broth - 100 ml
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish - a handful

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.

  3. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the sliced seitan and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly browned.
  5. Pour in the crushed tomatoes and vegetable broth, then add the dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  6. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
