- Dried basil - 1 teaspoon

- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Fresh basil leaves, for garnish - a handful
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in the sliced seitan and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly browned.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes and vegetable broth, then add the dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 10-15 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.
- Once the pasta is cooked, drain it and add it to the skillet with the sauce. Toss to coat the pasta evenly.
