Ingredients

  • Spaghetti - 200 grams
  • Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
  • Cherry tomatoes - 300 grams, halved
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Kosher salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Mixed seafood (shrimp, mussels, calamari) - 200 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Water - 1 liter

Steps

  1. Bring 1 liter of salted water to a boil in a large pot and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, ensuring it doesn't burn.
  4. Stir in the halved cherry tomatoes, kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until the tomatoes start to break down.
  5. Add the mixed seafood to the skillet and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes until the seafood is cooked through and opaque.
  6. Once the pasta is done, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta water, then drain the spaghetti and add it directly to the skillet with the sauce.
  7. Mix everything together, adding a bit of reserved pasta water to create a silky sauce if needed.
  8. Finish with fresh parsley and lemon juice, tossing well to combine before serving.
