- Pasta (spaghetti or linguine) - 160 grams
- Sun-dried tomatoes (packed in oil) - 80 grams, chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh basil leaves - 10 grams, chopped
- Parmesan cheese (optional, for serving) - 30 grams, grated
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the chopped sun-dried tomatoes to the skillet and stir for another 2-3 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta and add it to the skillet with the sun-dried tomatoes.
- Toss the pasta in the skillet over low heat, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
- Stir in the chopped fresh basil, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
