- Frozen peas - 150 grams
- Extra virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Vegetable broth - 300 ml
- Fresh basil leaves - 10 grams, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Nutritional yeast - 2 tablespoons (optional, for a cheesy flavor)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the frozen peas and vegetable broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes until the peas are tender.

- Toss the pasta in the skillet, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time until you achieve the desired sauce consistency.
- Stir in the chopped basil, salt, black pepper, and nutritional yeast (if using). Mix well and cook for another minute.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional basil if desired.
