- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese (optional, kosher) - 30 grams, grated
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they are browned and tender.
- Once the pasta is done, reserve 1/2 cup of the pasta cooking water and drain the rest.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the mushrooms and garlic, then mix well.
- If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water until desired consistency is reached.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste, and stir in freshly chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
