- Green beans - 200 grams, trimmed
- Garlic - 3 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 3 tablespoons
- Cherry tomatoes - 150 grams, halved
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh basil - a handful, torn
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
- In the last 4 minutes of cooking the pasta, add the trimmed green beans to the pot.
- While the pasta and beans are cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, or until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until they soften.
- Once the pasta and beans are cooked, drain them and add to the skillet with the garlic and tomatoes.
- Toss everything together, seasoning with salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to taste.
- Remove from heat and stir in the torn fresh basil just before serving.
