Ingredients
- Cannelloni pasta - 8 pieces
- Fresh spinach - 200 grams
- Ricotta cheese - 150 grams
- Parmesan cheese - 50 grams, grated
- Tomato sauce - 300 grams
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Nutmeg - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the fresh spinach to the skillet, cooking until wilted, about 3-4 minutes, then remove from heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked spinach, ricotta cheese, half of the grated Parmesan, salt, black pepper, and a pinch of nutmeg. Mix well until smooth.
- Using a spoon, carefully fill each cannelloni tube with the spinach and ricotta mixture.
- Spread a layer of tomato sauce on the bottom of a baking dish and arrange the filled cannelloni on top.
- Cover the cannelloni with the remaining tomato sauce and sprinkle with the rest of the grated Parmesan cheese.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
