Ingredients

  • Heavy cream - 250 ml
  • Whole milk - 100 ml
  • Granulated sugar - 50 grams
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Gelatin powder - 2 grams
  • Cold water - 15 ml
  • Fresh berries (for topping) - 50 grams

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract and the bloomed gelatin until fully dissolved.
  4. Pour the mixture into two individual serving cups or ramekins and let them cool to room temperature.
  5. Once cooled, cover the cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.
  6. Before serving, top each panna cotta with fresh berries.
