Ingredients

  • Dried figs - 100 grams
  • Dried apricots - 50 grams
  • Almonds - 50 grams
  • Walnuts - 50 grams
  • Hazelnuts - 50 grams
  • Cinnamon powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Nutmeg - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cocoa powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Maple syrup - 60 ml
  • Agave syrup - 30 ml
  • Whole wheat flour - 30 grams
  • Powdered sugar - for dusting

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a small baking dish (about 15x15 cm) with parchment paper.
  2. Chop the dried figs and apricots into small pieces and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine the chopped dried fruits, almonds, walnuts, and hazelnuts.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the cinnamon, nutmeg, cocoa powder, and whole wheat flour until well combined.
  5. Add the dry mixture to the bowl with the nuts and fruits, mixing well.
  6. In another bowl, combine the maple syrup and agave syrup, then pour it into the dry mixture, stirring until everything is well coated.
  7. Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down firmly and evenly.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, until firm to the touch.
  9. Remove from the oven and let it cool completely in the dish before transferring to a cutting board.
  10. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares or wedges.
