  • Fresh basil leaves - 10 grams
  • Extra virgin olive oil - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°C (482°F) and place a pizza stone or baking tray inside to heat.
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 25 cm (10-inch) circle, ensuring it's even and thin.
  3. Transfer the rolled-out dough to a piece of parchment paper or a floured pizza peel for easy transfer to the oven.
  4. Spread the tomato sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
  5. Tear the fresh mozzarella into small pieces and distribute them evenly over the sauce.
  6. Sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper over the top, then drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
  7. Carefully slide the pizza onto the hot pizza stone or baking tray in the oven.
  8. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  9. Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately scatter the fresh basil leaves on top.
  10. Let it cool for a minute, slice, and serve hot.
