  • Ripe avocado - 1 medium (approximately 150 grams)
  • Fresh basil leaves - 10 leaves
  • Extra virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon
  • Sea salt - to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Slice the fresh mozzarella cheese into 1 cm thick slices.
  2. Wash the tomatoes and slice them into similar thickness as the mozzarella.
  3. Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Slice the avocado into wedges.
  4. On a serving platter, alternate layers of mozzarella, tomato slices, and avocado slices in a circular pattern.
  5. Tuck the fresh basil leaves between the layers of cheese, tomatoes, and avocado.
