- Roma tomatoes - 4 medium
- Fresh mozzarella cheese - 200 grams
- Fresh basil leaves - 10 leaves
- Extra virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Slice the Roma tomatoes in half lengthwise and place them cut side up on a baking dish.
- Drizzle the tomatoes with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and season with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- Bake the tomatoes in the preheated oven for 15 minutes until they are softened.
- While the tomatoes are baking, slice the fresh mozzarella cheese into thick rounds.
