- Ground veal - 300 grams
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 50 grams
- Zucchini, grated - 100 grams
- Garlic, minced - 1 clove
- Fresh basil, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Egg - 1 large
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Tomato, sliced - 1 medium
- Red onion, thinly sliced - ½ small
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground veal, grated Parmesan cheese, grated zucchini, minced garlic, chopped basil, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings. Slice the tomato and red onion.
- Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- To serve, place each patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with tomato slices and red onion, and drizzle with remaining olive oil if desired.
