  • Ground veal - 300 grams
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 50 grams
  • Zucchini, grated - 100 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Fresh basil, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - ½ teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Tomato, sliced - 1 medium
  • Red onion, thinly sliced - ½ small

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground veal, grated Parmesan cheese, grated zucchini, minced garlic, chopped basil, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, prepare the toppings. Slice the tomato and red onion.
  5. Once the patties are cooked, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. To serve, place each patty on a large lettuce leaf, top with tomato slices and red onion, and drizzle with remaining olive oil if desired.
