Ingredients

  • Ground Halal beef - 300 grams
  • Gorgonzola cheese - 50 grams, crumbled
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Arugula - 50 grams
  • Balsamic glaze - 2 tablespoons
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, crumbled Gorgonzola, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the burger patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns in the skillet for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Once the patties are done, remove them from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topping with fresh arugula and a drizzle of balsamic glaze. Close with the top half of the bun and serve immediately.
