- Smoked salmon - 150 grams, chopped
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Heavy cream - 100 milliliters
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (optional)
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fusilli pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Lower the heat and add the heavy cream to the skillet, stirring to combine. Allow the cream to heat through for about 2 minutes.
- Add the chopped smoked salmon to the skillet, followed by the lemon juice, dill, salt, and black pepper. Stir gently to combine and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the salmon is warmed through.
- Once the pasta is cooked, reserve about 50 milliliters of the pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.
- Add the drained fusilli to the skillet with the salmon sauce. Toss everything together, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce is too thick.
- Serve immediately, garnished with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
