Ingredients

  • Fusilli pasta - 200 grams
  • Fresh salmon fillet - 150 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Heavy cream - 100 milliliters
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh dill - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the fusilli pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
  3. Cut the salmon into bite-sized pieces and add it to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the salmon is cooked through.
  4. Lower the heat and pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, chopped dill, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Allow the sauce to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add the cooked fusilli to the skillet, tossing to coat the pasta evenly in the creamy salmon sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta cooking water to achieve your desired consistency.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with additional dill if desired.
