Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.
- Gradually whisk in the cold water until the batter is smooth and well combined.
- Heat the olive oil in a deep frying pan over medium-high heat until hot (about 180°C or 350°F).
- Dip the squid rings into the batter, ensuring they are well coated.
- Carefully place the battered squid rings in the hot oil, frying in batches to avoid overcrowding.
