- Active dry yeast - 5 grams
- Olive oil - 30 ml
- Black olives (pitted and sliced) - 50 grams
- Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Salt - 5 grams
- Honey - 1 teaspoon
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine warm water, honey, and active dry yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 30 minutes or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F).
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down and spread it out onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, making dimples with your fingers.
- Evenly distribute the sliced olives and chopped rosemary over the top of the dough, pressing them in gently.
- Drizzle a little olive oil on top and sprinkle with a pinch of salt.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
