- Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
- Olive oil - 60 ml

- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes.
- While the pasta is cooking, prepare the pesto by combining the basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic, and Parmesan cheese in a food processor.
- Pulse the mixture until finely chopped, then gradually add the olive oil while blending until smooth.
- Add lemon juice, salt, and black pepper to taste, blending again to combine.
- Once the fettuccine is cooked, reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta cooking water, then drain the pasta.
