  • Anchovy fillets in olive oil - 100g
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Slice the baguette into 1 cm thick slices and place them on a baking sheet.
  3. Brush both sides of the bread slices with olive oil.
  4. Toast the bread in the preheated oven for about 5-7 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon juice, and black pepper to create a garlic-parsley spread.
  6. Once the bread is toasted, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  7. Spread a generous amount of the garlic-parsley mixture on each slice of toasted bread.
  8. Top each slice with 1-2 anchovy fillets.
  9. Serve immediately, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
