Steps
- Wash the Cavolo Nero thoroughly under running water to remove any dirt or grit.
- Trim the tough stems from the leaves and chop the leaves into manageable pieces.
- Fill a pot with about 1 liter of water and bring it to a boil.
- Once the water is boiling, place a steamer basket over the pot and add the chopped Cavolo Nero.
- Cover the pot and steam the Cavolo Nero for about 5-7 minutes, or until the leaves are tender but still vibrant in color.
- While the kale is steaming, prepare the dressing by whisking together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, sea salt, and black pepper in a small bowl.
