Steps
- Remove the outer leaves of the white cabbage and cut it into quarters, removing the core.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil and place a steamer basket over it.
- Add the cabbage quarters to the steamer basket and cover with a lid. Steam for about 10-12 minutes, or until the cabbage is tender but still crisp.
- While the cabbage is steaming, heat the olive oil in a small skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Once the cabbage is ready, carefully remove it from the steamer and transfer to a serving dish.
- Drizzle the garlic oil over the steamed cabbage, then squeeze fresh lemon juice on top.
- Season with sea salt and black pepper to taste. If desired, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
