- Canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
- Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
- Fresh parsley - for garnish
Steps
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Season the beef sirloin with salt and black pepper, then add it to the skillet. Sear the beef for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned, then remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, and add the dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.
- Return the seared beef to the skillet, reduce the heat to low, and cover. Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened.
- Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
