  • Canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Season the beef sirloin with salt and black pepper, then add it to the skillet. Sear the beef for about 2-3 minutes on each side until browned, then remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in the crushed tomatoes, and add the dried oregano, dried basil, and red pepper flakes. Stir well to combine.
  5. Return the seared beef to the skillet, reduce the heat to low, and cover. Let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the beef is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Taste and adjust the seasoning with more salt and pepper if needed.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
