  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Prepare the artichokes by trimming the stems and removing the outer leaves until the tender, light green leaves are exposed.
  2. Slice the artichokes in half vertically and scoop out the fuzzy choke using a spoon.
  3. In a bowl, mix together the olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  4. Brush the marinade generously over the cut sides of the artichokes.
  5. Preheat your grill to medium heat.
  6. Place the artichokes cut side down on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, until they are slightly charred.
  7. Flip the artichokes over and grill for an additional 10 minutes, brushing with more marinade as needed.
  8. Remove from the grill and serve warm, garnished with extra parsley if desired.
