Ingredients

  • Halal ground beef - 300 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Ciabatta buns - 2
  • Fresh mozzarella cheese - 100 grams, sliced
  • Ripe tomatoes - 1 medium, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves - 10
  • Balsamic glaze - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the halal ground beef with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix well and form into 2 equal-sized patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the patties and cook for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. While the patties are cooking, slice the ciabatta buns in half and lightly toast them on a separate skillet or under a broiler until golden brown.
  4. Once the patties are cooked, place a slice of fresh mozzarella on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese for about 1 minute.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing the cheesy patty on the bottom half of the toasted ciabatta bun. Top with slices of ripe tomato, fresh basil leaves, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.
  6. Cover with the top half of the ciabatta bun and serve immediately.
