  • All-purpose flour - 50 grams
  • Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • Almonds (sliced) - 30 grams
  • Powdered sugar - for dusting

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and sliced almonds.
  3. In another bowl, whisk the egg, sugar, and vanilla extract until combined.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until a dough forms.
  5. Shape the dough into a log about 2 inches wide and place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
  7. Slice the log into 1 cm thick pieces and place them back on the baking sheet, cut side up.
  8. Bake for another 10 minutes until the biscotti are golden and crisp.
  9. While the biscotti cool, prepare the cappuccino by brewing the espresso and frothing the milk.
  10. Combine the espresso with hot water and add the frothed milk on top. Sweeten with sugar to taste.
  11. Serve the cappuccino hot alongside the freshly baked biscotti, dusted with powdered sugar.
