Ingredients

  • Caciocavallo cheese - 300 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Balsamic vinegar - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your grill or oven to medium heat.
  2. While the grill is heating, prepare the Caciocavallo cheese by slicing it in half horizontally, but not all the way through, creating a pocket.
  3. Drizzle olive oil inside the cheese pocket and sprinkle in the chopped rosemary, minced garlic, red pepper flakes, and black pepper.
  4. Wrap the cheese in aluminum foil, making sure it is well-sealed.
  5. Place the wrapped cheese on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from heat and carefully unwrap the foil. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar before serving.
