  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Onion - 1 medium, diced
  • Carrot - 1 medium, diced
  • Vegetable broth - 500 milliliters
  • Diced tomatoes - 200 grams, canned
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste
  • Red chili flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Fresh parsley - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced Italian sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the sausage from the pot and set aside, leaving the drippings.
  4. In the same pot, add the diced onion, minced garlic, and diced carrot. Sauté for about 5 minutes until softened.
  5. Add the chopped cabbage to the pot and cook for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Return the sausage to the pot and mix in the diced tomatoes, vegetable broth, oregano, salt, black pepper, and red chili flakes if using.
