  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated (optional)

Steps

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced bacon to the skillet and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Remove the cooked bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the pan.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing for 1 minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the chopped cabbage to the skillet, stirring well to coat it in the bacon fat and garlic mixture.
  6. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, cover, and cook for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the cabbage is tender.
  7. Return the crispy bacon to the skillet, mixing it in with the cabbage, and cook for an additional 2 minutes to heat through.
