Ingredients
- Ground chicken - 400 grams
- Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Fresh parsley - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Oregano - 1 teaspoon, dried
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Burger buns - 2 pieces
- Lettuce leaves - 2 pieces
- Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- Red onion - 1/2 small, thinly sliced
- Mayonnaise - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine ground chicken, lemon zest, lemon juice, minced garlic, chopped parsley, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into burger patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat and add olive oil. Once hot, place the patties on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and golden brown.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the burger buns by toasting them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked chicken patty, a slice of tomato, a few slices of red onion, and a tablespoon of mayonnaise. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your favorite side dish.
