- Ground beef - 500 grams
- Roasted red bell peppers - 100 grams
- Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh basil - a few leaves for garnish
Steps
- Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form two patties.
- Drizzle olive oil on the grill or skillet and place the patties on it. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
- While the patties are cooking, slice the roasted red bell peppers into strips.
- In the last 2 minutes of cooking the patties, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty to melt.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the grill or skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- To assemble, place the melted cheese-topped patties on a plate, add roasted red bell pepper strips on top, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
