Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 500 grams
  • Roasted red bell peppers - 100 grams
  • Mozzarella cheese - 100 grams
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil - a few leaves for garnish

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form two patties.
  3. Drizzle olive oil on the grill or skillet and place the patties on it. Cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the patties are cooking, slice the roasted red bell peppers into strips.
  5. In the last 2 minutes of cooking the patties, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty to melt.
  6. Once cooked, remove the patties from the grill or skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  7. To assemble, place the melted cheese-topped patties on a plate, add roasted red bell pepper strips on top, and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving.
