Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Grated Parmesan cheese - 50 grams
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Mozzarella cheese, sliced - 100 grams
  • Marinara sauce (sugar-free) - 100 grams
  • Fresh basil leaves - 10 grams

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, grated Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and the egg. Mix until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two equal patties.
  3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a drizzle of olive oil.
  4. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until they are browned and cooked through to your desired doneness.
  5. While the burgers are cooking, heat the marinara sauce in a small saucepan over low heat until warmed through.
  6. Once the burgers are cooked, place slices of mozzarella cheese on top and cover the skillet with a lid to melt the cheese for about 1-2 minutes.
  7. To serve, place each burger on a plate, spoon the warm marinara sauce over the top, and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
