Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 50 grams
  • Fresh basil leaves - 30 grams
  • Garlic, minced - 1 clove
  • Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Egg - 1 large
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Zucchini, sliced - 100 grams
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved - 100 grams

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the ground beef, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, olive oil, egg, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  2. Form the mixture into two burger patties, about 2.5 cm thick.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  4. While the burgers are cooking, make the basil pesto by blending fresh basil leaves, a tablespoon of olive oil, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  5. In the last few minutes of cooking, add the zucchini slices and cherry tomatoes to the grill, cooking until they're slightly charred and tender.
  6. Serve the burgers topped with a generous spoonful of basil pesto and the grilled zucchini and tomatoes on the side.
