- Italian sausage (mild or spicy) - 300 grams
- Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
- Fresh basil, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Zucchini, sliced into rounds - 200 grams
- Cherry tomatoes, halved - 100 grams
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Italian sausage, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Divide the sausage mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the sausage patties and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, add the zucchini slices to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender and slightly charred.
- Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet for the last 2 minutes of cooking to warm them through.
- Serve the sausage patties on a plate, topped with the grilled zucchini and cherry tomatoes.
