Ingredients

  • Italian sausage (mild or spicy) - 300 grams
  • Parmesan cheese, grated - 30 grams
  • Fresh basil, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Zucchini, sliced into rounds - 200 grams
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved - 100 grams

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the Italian sausage, grated Parmesan cheese, chopped basil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are incorporated.
  2. Divide the sausage mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the sausage patties and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are browned and cooked through.
  4. While the patties are cooking, add the zucchini slices to the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes until they are tender and slightly charred.
  5. Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet for the last 2 minutes of cooking to warm them through.
  6. Serve the sausage patties on a plate, topped with the grilled zucchini and cherry tomatoes.
