- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
- Burger buns - 2, whole wheat or regular
- Mixed salad greens - 50 grams
- Tomato - 1, sliced
Steps
- Finely chop the swordfish fillet and place it in a mixing bowl.
- Add breadcrumbs, minced garlic, chopped parsley, lemon zest, chopped capers, egg, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Mix well until combined.
- Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties, about 1.5 inches thick.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lemon and caper mayo by mixing 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and 1 teaspoon of chopped capers in a small bowl.
- Toast the burger buns lightly on a separate skillet or in a toaster.
