- Ground beef - 400 grams
- Fresh basil pesto - 4 tablespoons
- Mozzarella cheese (sliced) - 100 grams
- Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cherry tomatoes (halved) - 100 grams
- Parmesan cheese (shaved) - 20 grams
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into two equal-sized patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
- Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- To assemble, place each beef patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf. Top with a generous spoonful of basil pesto, halved cherry tomatoes, and shaved Parmesan cheese.
