Ingredients

  • Ground beef - 400 grams
  • Fresh basil pesto - 4 tablespoons
  • Mozzarella cheese (sliced) - 100 grams
  • Romaine lettuce leaves - 4 large
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cherry tomatoes (halved) - 100 grams
  • Parmesan cheese (shaved) - 20 grams

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into two equal-sized patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 5-6 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of mozzarella cheese on each patty and cover the skillet to melt the cheese.
  4. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  5. To assemble, place each beef patty on a large romaine lettuce leaf. Top with a generous spoonful of basil pesto, halved cherry tomatoes, and shaved Parmesan cheese.
