- Ground beef - 250 grams
- Ground pork - 100 grams
- Almond flour - 30 grams
- Parmesan cheese (grated) - 30 grams
- Egg - 1 large
- Garlic (minced) - 2 cloves
- Onion (finely chopped) - 50 grams
- Oregano (dried) - 1 teaspoon
- Basil (dried) - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Crushed tomatoes (canned) - 200 grams
- Red wine (optional) - 50 ml
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 200°C (390°F).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, almond flour, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, chopped onion, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 4-5 cm in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and brown them on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- In the same skillet, add crushed tomatoes and red wine (if using). Stir well to combine and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Transfer the meatballs to a baking dish and pour the tomato sauce over them.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the meatballs are cooked through.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan cheese or fresh basil if desired.
