  • Ground beef (Halal) - 300 grams
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Carrot - 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Celery - 1 stalk, finely chopped
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
  • Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh basil leaves - a handful, for garnish
  • Burger buns - 2
  • Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, then form into two patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove patties and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until they soften, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, and sugar. Let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
  6. While the sauce simmers, toast the burger buns until golden.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topping with the Bolognese sauce, grated Parmesan, and fresh basil leaves.
