- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Onion powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Carrot - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Celery - 1 stalk, finely chopped
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Canned crushed tomatoes - 400 grams
- Dried oregano - 1 teaspoon
- Dried basil - 1 teaspoon
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh basil leaves - a handful, for garnish
- Burger buns - 2
- Parmesan cheese - 30 grams, grated
Steps
- In a bowl, mix the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder, then form into two patties.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Remove patties and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add onion, carrot, and celery, and sauté until they soften, about 5 minutes.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, and sugar. Let the sauce simmer for about 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens.
- While the sauce simmers, toast the burger buns until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on each bun, topping with the Bolognese sauce, grated Parmesan, and fresh basil leaves.
