  • Extra virgin olive oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh basil leaves - 10 grams
  • Oregano - 1 teaspoon
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams (for garnish)

Steps

  1. In a small bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Add the bocconcini mozzarella balls to the marinade and gently toss to coat them evenly.
  3. Tear the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl, mixing gently to avoid breaking the mozzarella.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  5. While the mozzarella is marinating, wash and halve the cherry tomatoes.
  6. After marinating, serve the bocconcini on a platter, garnished with the halved cherry tomatoes and a drizzle of any remaining marinade.
