- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cherry tomatoes - 100 grams (for garnish)
Steps
- In a small bowl, combine the extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper.
- Add the bocconcini mozzarella balls to the marinade and gently toss to coat them evenly.
- Tear the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl, mixing gently to avoid breaking the mozzarella.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- While the mozzarella is marinating, wash and halve the cherry tomatoes.
- After marinating, serve the bocconcini on a platter, garnished with the halved cherry tomatoes and a drizzle of any remaining marinade.
